New Members
We're glad you have made the decision to join the Walk of Life family. You are about to begin a wonderful spiritual journey. Here are some things to keep in mind to get you acclimated to your new church:
New membership class
Completion of the new member's class is required. If you have not been contacted about when you will begin the class, please see Elder Gillenwater.
Church Etiquette
It's important to be familiar with a few things to help the church and services run as smoothly as possible:
- To fulfill the duty of orderliness, please be obedient to the Bishop, Co-Pastor, Pastoral Staff, and the attendants/watchmen.
- Please be on time to services and meetings.
- During services —once you are seated, be attentive. Once the Bishop begins teaching, no walking is allowed. Please go to the restrooms, if necessary, prior to this time.
To grow in Christ, you need to be aware of your purpose and vision, be faithful to it, and know every gift and calling in your life. We have several active ministries in the church. Consider joining a ministry team to help the church work toward its vision. You should also become familiar with our church purpose statement.
Children's Ministry
Children ages 2-12 meet for Children's Church during the 11:00 AM service. When you arrive, please bring your child(ren) with you into the sanctuary. Children will be excused after the praise & worship portion of the service.
This is a mass choir open to the young and young at heart. If you're interested in joining, see Co-pastor Sheryl Flowers. Rehearsals are each Friday evening at 7:00 pm.
