Our Pastor

Bishop Joe N. Flowers Jr. is the founder, senior pastor and visionary leader of Walk of Life Christian Center (WOLCC) in Rochester, NY. He is a unique five-fold ministry gift to the Body of Christ with an apostolic and prophetic mandate to bring healing, restoration and spiritual covering to pastors and church leaders through WOLCC Alliance Global Ministries. Bishop Flowers is under the spiritual covering of Bishop T. D. Jakes and the Potter's House International Pastoral Alliance (PHIPA).

Bishop Flowers was born in Elba, Alabama but raised in Shilo, Alabama. His parents, who always gave him guidance and encouragement, were assistant pastors in the neighboring city of New Brocton and pushed him to be the best to never settle for second place. Under the guidance of his mother Ammie J. Flowers and his late grandmother, Lesie Mae Flemming, Bishop Flowers heard God's voice and accepted Christ into his life at the tender age of eight.

He moved to Ozark, Alabama where the Lord began to use him in a mighty way. At the young age of thirteen, he ministered to youth of all ages; the call to pastor and preach the gospel to all nations became the foundation of his ministry.

After graduating from high school, Bishop Flowers tried to flee from his calling and great commission by enlisting in the United States Navy. In 1988, heeding to the voice of God, Bishop Flowers moved to Rochester, New York where the fullness of his calling began to evolve. In the short years after arriving in New York, Bishop Flowers obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Religion and Theology. He held various jobs at supervisory level and also attended the very prestigious University of Rochester.

Bishop Flowers founded the Walk of Life Christian Center, Inc. church in November 1994. Our pastor along with his wife Co-pastor Sheryl Y. Flowers and children, Minister Daniel and Sierra Flowers, are dedicated to fulfilling God’s plan for the ministry in these end times.
